Product Overview

Called the Festy tent because its ideal for festivals. So many customers have said they would love a tipi but tipis need a big vehicle to transport. So I came up with the Festy tent! It looks like a tipi, but fits in the boot of the car and only takes a few minutes to put up - how cool is that!

Originally designed as a one-pole tent, it can also be a two pole suspended tent. Picture one shows it as a suspended tent with two long tipi poles. Picture two shows it as a single pole tent, this photo was sent to me by a customer taken at night on a long exposure. This gives the option of it either being easy to transport or having a totally clear space inside. Of course you could have both pole sets for maximum flexibility.

This is a fantastic tent for weekend camps or going to festivals with. Plenty of headroom, substantially built to give a great feeling of security, and stylish too.

At the top of the tent is a large open vent with a rotating (manual) canvas cowl. This helps to cool the tent in summer, but also allows you to use a charcoal brazier to heat the tent on those chilly summer evenings (and for toasting marshmallows says my daughter!). The cowl can be turned according to the wind direction.

The Festy tent only takes about 15 minutes to put up, and has plenty of standing room inside. It will easily sleep a family of 4.

The Festy tent is becoming very popular and has even been used on 'River Cottage Roadshow' by Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall.

Listed price is Canvas, groundsheet porch poles and 3 sectioned centre pole. If you want a different combination just ask - no problem!

The suspended variation has been improved and now uses a stainless steel hanging device that prevents any leakage and gives a neat hanging loop inside the tent for your lamp.

4m Tent with groundsheet and sectioned centre pole - £795.00 inc vat
As above but with 4.8m (16ft) tipi poles -  £815.00 inc vat

Both pole sets can be purchased if you wish.

Beware of cheap imitations this tent is now being copied in the far east but not made to the same exacting standards or with fire retardant canvas for safety. Look for the Red Hare logo to be sure of a quality tent.
