Yurts, yurts, yurts…where to start describing the beauty, practicality and adaptability of one of the world’s oldest nomadic structures?
Yurts are simply one of the finest portable structures you will find anywhere. Their circular space is relaxing and energising, the combination of traditional cotton canvas and the graceful curves of the golden timber is beautiful but also practical and strong.
“What would I use it for?” I hear you ask… well it would be easier to list what you can’t use them for. I have customers who have used them for camping, temporary office space, music practice room, garden escape space, party space, exhibition stand, mobile workshop, shoe stall, wooden boat exhibition stand, classroom, spare room for visitors, get the kids out of the house space, chill out tent, inspiration room within the office, first aid tent, massage space, therapy room, multi faith discussion forum, etc etc… See what I mean? We even supply campsites with multiple yurts to rent out as holiday accommodation.
They are reasonably quick to construct - a No 16 should take less than an hour for one person and will fit on the roof rack of a car - or use a trailer.

When I first started working with yurts in 1995 you could guarantee that 99 out of every 100 people you spoke to had no idea what a yurt was, but that has all changed over the last two to three years. If you Google yurt now the list of suppliers can be a little overwhelming, and often comparing the different styles and details can send you into a spin! This is why I have produced the ‘Yurt Buyers Guide’ to give you a starting place on your search for your ideal yurt, just drop me an email for a free copy.
Although most of the yurts illustrated here are of the curved rib Kyrgyz/Turkoman style we also manufacture the Mongolian Ger style.
