As with all our tents we manufacture our range of small camping tents to the highest quality.
The canvas used is high quality marquee grade cotton canvas with a water repellent, rot inhibitor and fire retardant as standard. Usual weight is 393gsm (12oz) but 320gsm (10oz) is also available.
All seams are locked French seams double sewn for strength and superior water exclusion. Wear and strain points are reinforced with additional canvas patches in two and sometimes three layers.
Top quality brass eyelets, grommets and hooks are used where required.
Pegs are hand cleft British Ash for strength and durability. Peg loops are shock corded to reduce the strain on pegs and canvas.
Pole sets are in 45mm (1 ¾”) diameter joinery quality redwood with sturdy aluminium sleeves and steel pins. The poles have a two-coat linseed oil finish for protection and to enhance the grain.
Classic Dutch lacing or heavy-duty (9mm) zips are used for doors and other access points.
Groundsheets and sod-cloths are in 16oz tarpaulin weight polyester reinforced PVC, for increased strength and longevity.
